What do you need for New Zealand eTA/eVisa?

International travelers who wish to travel to New Zealand need a visa. Fortunately, the countries exempt from New Zealand visas are eligible to apply for New Zealand eTA. Citizens from these countries need to obtain an eTA to enter New Zealand legally.

Travelers can apply for a New Zealand eTA from anywhere at any time as long as they meet the following requirements:

  • A valid passport. The applicants need to ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months beyond the scheduled date of arrival in New Zealand and have a minimum of 02 blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • A biographical page - The applicants should prepare a copy of their personal information.
  • A working email address at which to receive the approved eTA.
  • Credit or debit card to pay the eTA fee.
  • A passport photo of the applicant with the person's face in the middle and a white backdrop.

To prevent needless delays in processing and approval, you are advised to double-check that all of the information supplied is accurate before completing the application form. After receiving your eTA via email, please print and bring it with you at all times during your trip to New Zealand. With a valid eTA, you will receive a stamp on your passport.
