How many types of visas are there for New Zealand?
New Zealand Travel & e-Visa Services currently offer three (03) types of New Zealand eTA to international travelers, depending on the purpose of the visit. Passport holders from one of the 60 New Zealand eTA-eligible countries can apply for one of the following types of New Zealand eTA:
- Tourist eTA: With this type of visa, you'll have plenty of time for tourism, sightseeing, and visiting friends and family. Tourist eTA is valid for up to 2 years and allows multiple entries into New Zealand. Once you enter the country, you will have 3 months at a time to stay.
- The business eTA to New Zealand can be used when travelers wish to enter the country for business or trading purposes. You can stay in New Zealand for up to 90 days from the grant date of your ETA and enter New Zealand as many times as you choose.
- Transit eTA: Used when travelers need to cross New Zealand before boarding a trip to another nation. New Zealand transit eTA is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance, allowing travelers to transit through Auckland International Airport before traveling to another destination.
Please note that these types of eTAs all allow stays of up to 3 months with each entry for most eligible citizens, with the exception of UK nationals, who will be allowed a maximum stay of 6 months with each entry with the eTA.
